چکیده

The diversity of cultivable bacteria associated with plants from phytomanaged soils mixed trace metal (TM) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) contamination in Pierrelaye (France) was evaluated. emphasis on the bacterial community since overall objective is to obtain inoculants improve remediation this type contaminated site. Root endophytic rhizosphere soil counts were determined, isolates pooled by amplified rDNA restriction analysis identified 16S sequencing. Isolates further characterized for production plant growth-promoting (PGP) substances, resistance TM. selected strains evaluated their ability degrade PAHs. potential cell-free microbial supernatant increase mobilisation PAHs polluted also Proteobacteria Actinobacteria dominated collection isolates, differences taxonomic observed between species (Populus or Zea mays) depending treatment inoculation mycorrhizae Populus intercropping Alnus). majority exhibited at least one tested PGP traits, as well more than Several rhizosphere, endophyte even bulk isolate showed high rates fluoranthene pyrene reduction. Rhizobium strain MR28 isolated maize degrading produced bioemulsifying molecules capable improving availability Pierrelaye. A selection most interesting made re-inoculation experiments order assess rhizoremediation processes.

Bacterial Endophytes Isolated from Plants in Natural Oil Seep Soils with Chronic Hydrocarbon Contamination

The bacterial endophytic communities of four plants growing abundantly in soils highly contaminated by hydrocarbons were analyzed through culturable and culture-independent means. Given their tolerance to the high levels of petroleum contamination at our study site, we sought evidence that Achillea millefolium, Solidago canadensis, Trifolium aureum, and Dactylis glomerata support high levels of...

Biodegradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons by Aerobic Mixed Bacterial Culture Isolated from Hydrocarbon Polluted Soils

In this study, the degradation potential of five polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by aerobic mixed bacterial cultures was investigated. Microorganisms were isolated from hydrocarbon contaminated soils of Shadegan wetland located in southwest of Iran. The degradation experiments were conducted in liquid cultures. PAH or PAHs concentration was 100 mg/L at the beginning of degradation e...

Biodegradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Petroleum Contaminated Soils

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are a class of potentially hazardous chemicals of environmental and health concern. PAHs are one of the most prevalent groups of contaminants found in soil. Biodegradation of complex hydrocarbon usually requires the cooperation of more than single specie. In this research biotreatment of PAH (phenanthrene) was studied in a solid-phase reactor using indigenou...
